Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Synthesis Recipe List

Only combinations Square Enix or hands-on previews have actually shown.

Synthesis Recipes

This is a short list on purpose. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World has 500-plus monsters and a menu that previews children before you confirm. A fake 400-row cookbook would be noise. Below are the combinations published in Square Enix’s July 2026 briefing, plus one clearly labeled hands-on example.

Read how to synthesize for the rules (level 10, parents vanish, talent inheritance, Plus Value). This page is the table.

Special synthesis (starry icon)

These children are called out as special patterns, including monsters you may not scout in the field.

Magmalice + Firn Fiend (one grandparent pair) and Golem + Coralossus (other grandparent pair), then pick parents from those offspringBalhibFour-monster, two-generation pattern

The Balhib line is the reason you keep extras in the depot. You are not fusing four monsters in one click; you are breeding two pairs, then fusing the children you choose.

Published standard examples

These are Square Enix’s teaching examples for the menu, not necessarily starred specials.

When a parent already has a large Plus Value, watch for a plus mark on a listed child. That is Square Enix’s hint that the result may outrank the parents.

Kitchen reminders tied to the table

  • Max talents on parents you care about before they disappear.
  • Scout replacements the same day you fuse, especially material and beast if you are chasing escudogre.
  • Mega Mole Hole exists to re-meet befriended parents by family and rank. It does not invent new recipes.
  • Demo transfers reset level and talents. Fusing a special child in the demo is only worth it if you want that species in the December depot.
  • Large children still cost two battle slots. Rank-up is not a free party upgrade.

What will be added later

New rows need an official screenshot, a Square Enix / Gematsu briefing, or a first-party trailer caption. Dark Prince recipes will not be copied over “because the series always works that way.” The Withered World already changed the confirm-preview flow; assume the cookbook changed too.

If you are looking for jobs rather than names, use early party and families. If you are looking for the button that opens this kitchen, that is a restored Root of Creation. Keep a spare parent in the depot whenever a row on this table is a four-monster climb; Balhib is not a panic fuse on the last empty slot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you scout your first monster.

Why are there so few recipes?

Because those are the combinations Square Enix has published. Padding this table with Dark Prince memory would be a lie.

Is Balhib a single two-parent fuse?

No. Official text uses two grandparent pairs, then lets you pick parents from those offspring. Plan four monsters.

Does Plus Value always raise rank?

No. It can bonus stats and may produce a higher-rank child. The well wisher line is the teaching example, not a guarantee on every pair.
